Dear MS 2018 and DO 2021,

 

Please note the following regarding the Histology Exam on Monday 10/30, 2017.

 

·    The Histology Exam will run from 10:00AM to 12:00PM.

·    Be sure to download your exam over the weekend!

·    Due to Examplify having problems with the post-exam review it will not be offered after the Histology exam.  Examplify is addressing the problems we will keep you posted.

Download Exam

·        The exam files are normally posted on Sunday or Monday morning for download.

·        To download your exam, open Examplify and select which exam you wish to download and press “Download.”

Time and Location of Exam

·        Time of exam:  10:00AM – 12:00PM

·        Location of the exam:

o   DO: Classrooms 1 and 2 and Library, on the ground level

o   MS: Classroom 3, study room behind the library, on the ground floor

 

·        Check-in for exam: 9:25AM-9:45AM

·        Location of check in:

o   DO: Common area between classrooms 1 and 2

o   MS: Common area in front of classroom 3

 

CHECK IN FOR THE EXAM:

 

·        Stow your bags, backpacks, laptop sleeves and purses before you check in.  These are not allowed in the test rooms.  Digital/Smart watches are also not allowed in the exam room.

·        The only items you are allowed to have with you at check in and during the exam  are your computer (mouse or wireless mouse ok), ID, pen or pencil, security screen.   Ear plugs are permitted, but must be shown to the proctor before they are used.

·        All students are required to provide their own computer security screen.  Please show this to the proctor at check in.

·        Present your student ID at check in.  The ID should be removed from your lanyard and simply handed to the exam administrator at check in.

·        All students will be seated based upon their assigned random number.   There are no exceptions.

 

·        Check in timeline:

 

o   Check in runs from 9:25-9:45AM.  Once you have checked in, please go directly to your assigned test room.  

o   All students must be seated by 9:45AM. 

o   Password is given at 9:50AM.  Enter the password, but do not begin until you are told.  Hold at the screen showing a stop sign until told to begin the exam.

Important:  The proctors will not release the password until the entire room has cleared any notes or other content images from their computer screen.  Delays here will result in lost exam time.

 

o   Exam protocol is given.

o   Exam begins at 10:00AM.  Scrap paper will be handed out immediately after the exam begins.

o   If you arrive after 10:15AM you will not be allowed to sit for the exam.  Report to the Dean of Student Services.

o   Once checked into a test room students are not permitted to leave until they have completed the test.

o   You will be given 2 hours to complete the exam. 

CHECK OUT FOR THE EXAM:

 

·        This exam was built with a post-exam review component that will be available to students immediately upon completion of the exam.

·        Upon closing out of the exam you will be given the option to review the questions that you did not answer correctly. 

·        If you prefer not to take part in this review, simply chose ‘no’ to the review option, show the proctor your green check mark, hand in your signed scrap paper and sign out of the exam.

·        Those who wish to take part in the review will be asked for a second password, which is posted at the front of the room.  Remain in your seat to complete the review. The review will automatically close after 15 minutes.  After completing the review, show the proctor your green check mark, hand in your signed scrap paper, and sign out of the exam.   

·        No note taking, recording, cell phone usage, or discussion during the review is permitted.

·        Be considerate of your fellow students during the entire exam time.  Following the exam the common areas in the vicinity of classrooms 1, 2 and 3 and  in front of the library must remain quiet.  If you use the study rooms in the area you MUST be quiet or you will be told to leave. 

 

PLEASE NOTE:

 

o   ALL Test Rooms will be cleared 45 min before the exam.

o   NO CELL PHONES in the test rooms.  Failure to comply will result in immediate expulsion from the exam and an escort to the Dean of Student Services

o   Sweaters are permitted in the exam rooms.  If the sweater has a hood, the hood cannot be worn during an exam.

o   No baseball caps.

o   Make sure your assigned number is visible during the exam.
